Self-taught, Bristol-based ceramicist Jess Xuereb started MADETHISMESS during the early months of 2021. Her style is rustic yet elegant, focusing on slab-building functional ceramic dinnerware. She teaches slab-building ceramics to beginners in order to make clay less daunting and more easily accessible. She doesn’t use a wheel, so everything you learn in class you can recreate at home in your own time! She wants people to know that they don’t need all the bells and whistles to make beautiful and functional ceramic pieces!
