Two new cities in two weeks (Cardiff kicked us off) and our second city in the Midlands this year 😱 We’re moving fast, Nottingham - and we’re so excited to have you with us!
As of today, we’ve officially launched over 20 local experiences through partnerships with independent small businesses in Nottingham.
Yuup’s whole ethos centres on extraordinary experiences brought to you by passionate locals. We’re a local marketplace that helps you discover new and fun things to do close to home - and we think Nottingham has some exceptional stuff to show off!
But first, a brief rewind to where it started in Notts earlier this year…
In April 2024 we brought our first Drone Light Show to Trent Bridge Stadium, a partnership between local southwest businesses Yuup and Celestial. What initially started as an opportunity to share the magic of our Drone show with another UK city turned into something way bigger.
We sold tickets, fast! We were greeted with a huge, receptive audience. We received stellar feedback - in fact, the best we’ve ever had. Naturally, we didn’t want to just stop there!
We started exploring the city and found that Nottingham boasts an impressive independent scene. It’s buzzing with creativity and culture, and full of awesome people. It shares lots of likenesses with Bristol, the city where Yuup was first founded and felt like a natural fit with all the things we want to offer.
As a platform, we encourage people to discover something new, experience new perspectives on a city, and connect with locals. For our hosts, it’s an opportunity to promote and deliver experiences that put their expertise front and centre, as well as help their businesses to thrive.
To date, our local hosts have delivered over 240,000 experiences in Bristol, Bath and Birmingham, generating £5m for local indie businesses. There are so many Nottingham experiences in the pipeline and we’re excited to share these in the coming weeks.
