A short fun and informative course on how to stop procrastinating and begin your memoir.
Alison leads the course with authority and has all the qualities of a master memoirist
It was great to be in a room with other writers, all with differing goals and experience. Ali runs her workshops in a very interactive way that is great for people like me who live very much in their own shells. Discussing the questions Ali raised was fascinating. The responses differed from person to person, but there was no wrong answer. It was also a safe space to talk about writing without anyone glazing over. Wonderful!
I really enjoyed this workshop. Al's style is easy-going and she shares a lot of knowledge and experience. There were many thought-provoking exercises that saw us all discovering things about ourselves and generating ideas for future work. And it was lovely to spend time with like-minded people, all at different places with their writing; from the curious who didn't write regularly, to those who write professionally, we all benefited from taking the time just to write. Highly recommended.
Thanks for a brilliant workshop! Inspiring, informative and fun.
Excellent, engaging, fun, revitalising. A mixture of goal and target setting, self reflection, learning and creative writing prompts. Al is an excellent host and guide and it was amazing to share and talk with other writers. Highly recommend!
