Gather your family and enjoy a magical experience of folktale storytelling in a beautiful woodland setting. You'll join your hosts Wild Folk, and Pridie from The Wild of the Words deep in the woods, to celebrate the end of the school term and Winter Solstice before we march into Christmas.
Pridie will be looking for little story-lovers and creative story-spinners to help them bring their folk tale to life. Your little ones will love this interactive storytelling experience!
What to expect: - 45 minutes of story talk and enchanting interactive storytelling! There may also be time for a creative activity at the end of the story - A beautiful woodland setting. You'll cosy up beneath a parachute cover and round an open fire ready to enjoy the story. Although you'll be protected from rain your host encourages you to bring warm layers and waterproofs.
This unique family experience is not to be missed! Enjoy making memories this Winter with the help of the magical Pridie and Wild Folk.

Just the right length/interaction for those age 4 and up. Lovely.
Wild Folk is all about getting outside, and putting on creative events in magical green spaces in and around Bristol such as foraging workshops and fireside storytelling.
The aim is to help people grow their own personal nature connection (whilst improving their general wellbeing) as well as connecting with other ‘wild folk’ to do these activities with. At every event, we encourage a sense of community, if only for a few hours. You can expect foraging walks, creative workshops, feasts, storytelling and poetry.
Hannah was inspired to create Wild Folk to help people immerse themselves in nature, enjoy cooking on fires and socialise in a supportive community. She started Wild Folk as a meetup group here in the South West that people could come to alone or with friends, and now offers a variety of nature experiences.
A self-confessed story obsessive, Pridie takes stories outdoors and brings them to life as a teacher, writer and traditional storyteller. Pridie is an experienced educator and professional storyteller, performing and delivering workshops for all ages. Her focus is always on combining traditional folk narratives, myths and legends with rich outdoor experiences.
