This is half-day practical workshop will explore the Three Pillars of the Wim Hof Method: Breath, Mindset and Cold/Ice.

Breathe and Ice's founder Gus Hoyt one of the country's only Level 2 Wim Hof Instructors as well as an Oxygen Advantage instructor who runs Wim Hof workshops across stunning Bristol locations. Gus will introduce you to Wim Hof theory in a fun, safe and accessible way. (Of course, you'll be wrapping up with an ice bath!)
Please note: This workshop is suitable for everyone but requires a basic level of health. Out of precaution, your host advises against participation during pregnancy, or if you're epileptic. This was excellent. Gus walked us through the importance of breath with an in depth explanation and demonstration but without technical jargon. We were a group of eight, some with lots of experience of breathwork, yoga and cold water, some absolute beginners and a few, like me, in between and everyone enjoyed it. The overbreathing exercise was amazing and a unique experience. The ice bath was the ‘final crescendo’ to the session and left us all buzzing, energised and happy.

I had the best experience at this day course. If you’re looking to expand your knowledge on the wimhof method I would really recommend this course. Gus was a great instructor and really knew his stuff! I walked away feeling amazing and learnt so many tips on how to get the most out of breathwork and cold exposure. What an inspiring host Gus was! It was a great mix of fascinating research on the benefits of the Wim Hoff breathing and ice baths, culminating in our own ice bath! I really wanted to enjoy the experience but tried to stay calm so as not to be disappointed. Needn’t have bothered. It was so good! Would have liked slightly nicer facilities for changing - toilets were bit untidy and cubicles in room were not suitable for wet changing. That being said I feel bit mean even mentioning it!
Gus was really good - struck good balance and adapted to each participant’s needs, was a real joy to work with. Already looking forward to Advanced workshop!

Gus was so good. Really good leader. Very normal although a few times his voice went very quiet when talking that then became hard to hear. It would be great to see a proper diagram when talking about the oxygen levels etc. The studio has a nice feel to it with the designs on the walls rather than plain. It has intrigued me to learn more about the method and to turn down that shower!!
This was an excellent introduction to more than just the benefits of the cold as we walked through and practiced breathing techniques to support a mindset and sense of control that resulted in an indescribable but amazing experience. The culmination of the session with an ice bath was such good fun, leaving me feeling invigorated afterwards.
