Wild Food Foraging Walk

Join experienced foraging and wild food guide and cook Mike Cutting on a seasonal foraging foray in the beautiful location of Stanmer Park, Brighton.

If you are a food or nature lover then this experience is for you! Learn to identify edible or otherwise useful plant and fungi species and gain inspiration for how to use them in your kitchen at home.

Wild foods are nutritious, tasty and abundant! Learning to identify and use edible wild species of plants and fungi is a hugely rewarding and enriching past time. Foraging can provide exercise, free delicious food, and a closer connection to nature and your local landscape.

On this 3 hour walk you will discover and taste a variety of wild plants (and possibly fungi) and gain knowledge on how to identify them safely and accurately. We will consider the laws, regulations and best practices that apply to foraging as well as the history and folklore associated with each species.

Wild inspired snacks and tasters will be provided along the way to showcase the wild ingredients and inspire you to use foraged ingredients in your home cooking!
