Wax carving expert Captain Grimace is hosting this brilliant workshop aimed at giving you the skills to carve your own jewellery from wax, ready to be cast. Known for his intricate details and bold design, Grimace will guide participants through the techniques in an accessible, fun atmosphere.

Suitable for people of all abilities, from absolute beginners to those with some knowledge of silversmithing.

Please note this is the skill of wax carving and finishing the piece in metal will require a follow up session. Your host looks forward to sharing the craft of wax carving with you!

Steve Grimace

Captain Grimace has been making silver jewellery for around ten years. A couple of years into his journey he started specialising in wax carving, in order to create fully sculptural pieces, and has been perfecting his technique ever since. He regularly takes on a wide range of jewellery commissions, often making quite outlandish ideas into solid reality, and has been teaching silver work and wax carving for the last 3 years.
