Excellent workshop. Steve is patient and guided everyone individually. We got to use loads of different tools and try out different techniques. We all came away with completely unique pieced that are ready for casting. I really enjoyed this class and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you also to Beth for lunch!
Great introduction to wax carving techniques, with a wide range of tools and equipment. We worked on our own projects and Steve customised his advice to each of us. Lots of tips and pointers about where to buy supplies and get our finished work cast up, too.
Brilliant. Aimee was very knowledgeable and shared her experience freely. The studio (Silver and Steel) was a great venue as well.
The nearest car parks are Little Paradise or Hereford Street Car Park. Both are very nearby.
Captain Grimace has been making silver jewellery for around ten years. A couple of years into his journey he started specialising in wax carving, in order to create fully sculptural pieces, and has been perfecting his technique ever since. He regularly takes on a wide range of jewellery commissions, often making quite outlandish ideas into solid reality, and has been teaching silver work and wax carving for the last 3 years.
