What a great experience!
A great tour which show cased the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge. Firstly we were out on the Bridge explaining how it was designed and eventually constructed and then going below ground into the vaults of the Leigh Woods Tower which was a fantastic experience to see how much complex work was involved below ground.
Highly recommend the tour. Do not forget to spend time in the visitors centre which tells you even more about the Bridge.
Gordon the guide had lots of information about Bristol's history and the engineering of the bridge. The vaults were fantastic
Excellent tour & guide with a sense of humour along with many facts and figures. Loved understanding the mechanics of how the bridge was built and works and survives to this day.

Nice trip. Really great venue!
This was a fascinating tour, took the bridge for granted for so many years, it’s fabulous to learn so much and who knew the vaults would be there and so impressive! Our guide was really informative, entertaining and so knowledgeable, thank you for a great experience!
Learned a lot about a feature of our lovely city which I thought I knew well. Will never think of the bridge the same way again,
Gordon, our guide, put a lot of thought into the tour to keep it interesting. He is very funny and we enjoyed every minute. There were a lot of facts and details about Bristol, the suspension bridge and Brunel to engage us. We'll done.
An absolute must do! Everyone will learn something new about the genius that was Brunel and the surprise as you enter the vaults just has to be experienced. Highly recommend and worth the wait
Excellent guides
As a Bristolian you would think I had visited all the highlights of our great City, but this trip proves there are still some secrets Bristol has to offer. Who knew the two towers weren’t identical in design? The opportunity to go inside the vaults of one of the towers gives a completely different perspective to the Suspension Bridge. If you were impressed before with the expertise of the 19th century engineers and skills of the builders, then this takes you to another level. Highly recommended!
An informative, entertaining tour and the chambers are spectacular.
