We had a great time learning to throw pots and get messy! The Host was patient and encouraging. Will come again!
Kristina had a really calm friendly vibe, happy to step in when I wanted a bit of direction, happy to give some space the rest of the time - great music too!
Christina was a great host and patiently guided the four of us from complete novices to creating our own masterpieces! Super fun two hours and I would totally recommend.
Lovely morning just having time to experiment with the wheel. Only a small group so feels like private session. Relaxing, creative and great mindfulness activity. Good value session as could come away with 2 pieces.
It was a great experience and really fun
The experience was nothing short of delightful, with every aspect contributing to a thoroughly enjoyable time. The class size was perfect, ensuring everyone received ample attention and guidance from our instructor, whose instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for someone like me who hadn't touched clay since school. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, creative activity, whether you're a complete beginner or rediscovering a long-lost hobby.
Welcoming, friendly and relaxed atmosphere
An enjoyable morning and looking forward to more practice and gaining experience.
The workshop was very enjoyable, allowing us all to have many attempts at throwing bowls of different shapes, so that each of us managed to produce items that looked great. There were plenty of resources, and the length of the session felt right (though we all would have happily carried on). We all had a sense of achievement - that we had learned something completely new and had created items out of lumps of clay. The trainer was excellent.
Really fun filled 2 hours in which I became more and more competitive with myself lol
So chuffed with what I managed to achieve and also b proud of the other 3 with me who also had fun and created beautiful works of art x
Jasmine was a super host who gave clear instructions and was so patient and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend anyone to give it a go. So therapeutic and fun at the same time . We have it given as a gift …. A really great present . Great studio and can’t wait to see our end product . Thank you🌸🌸
A beautiful space to be taught in, lovely tutor and small groups so you have enough 1:1 time to help create something to be proud of!
What a great experience! Such a lovely host and teacher, and an activity to get dirty, relax and focus and enjoy and explore your creativity!
Loved this fun and productive 2 hours in the studio. With expert and gentle tuition I was delighted to have made 3 pieces. Would highly recommend.
My First experience on a pottery wheel totally loved the experience and recommend anyone to give it a go , excellent teacher , relaxed and easy going .
Give it a go
This was one of my favourite things I've done in a long time, great (for want of a better word) vibe and a lovely host, wish I could do it every day
Really patient teacher Lucy who was determined to ensure everyone had a great experience & a make to take home. It really isn’t as easy as it looks but was fun finding out.
My partner and I had a great time and definitely want to try this again!
We had a lovely afternoon trying something new, with lots of thoughtful tuition and support. Thank you! :)
Fantastic experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our first Pottery Wheel workshop, with expert guidance and support. Looking forward to seeing the results in a few weeks. Highly recommend it!
A great experience learning the basics of pottery. The guidance was very clear and you had support every step of the way.
This was so much fun, real clear instructions and such great teaching throughout. It was brilliant to go with literally no experience of every working with a wheel and leave with two recognisable pots ready to go into the kiln! I can't wait to see how they turn out. 100% recommend this as a fun experience to give a pottery wheel a go :)
We had a fantastic time. The tutor was extremely good at teaching, very patient and talented at guiding completely new beginners. It was great value for money and I would most definitely go again. We had so much fun!
Really enjoyed this! Took my mum for her birthday and we got to make more than I expected. We had really good fun! The fact you can get 2 pieces included as part of the price was great! Just the right length of time and our host was brilliant. Also a lot of 1 on 1 time as only 4 people booked per class so definitely got all the help needed during the class. Added bonus was the parking!
Great workshop! Having only four people in the workshop meant that we got enough time with the instructor throughout our session. I would definitely do again and recommend to friends! The instructor was great and explained everything so well.
Thank you so much for a highly entertaining afternoon! Having never been to a pottery class before, we were a bit apprehensive - however the class was really informative, great fun and lo and behold we managed to create a few pieces that we're looking forward to collecting :) Thanks again!
This was a great class! Highly recommend
Brilliant class would 100% recommend
Finola was great. We all had such a good time and enjoyed every minute!
We loved our pottery class with Finola! We each had our own wheel, there was unlimited clay available and Finola showed us the basics at the beginning, which enabled us to get making our own pots, plates etc very quickly. For that reason, the experience felt like very good value.
We had an amazing time creating different pots and learning all the techniques! It was a good sized group and it was a friendly environment
A great experience and so much fun. Great instruction and support and I managed to create a few pots which I’m excited to pick up in a couple of weeks. Will definitely go again.
I really enjoyed this class; Jasmine was very patient, calm & encouraging and she gave very clear instructions. The time whizzed by and I would really like to have another go at this!
Really fun and relaxing session, our host Jasmine was lovely and a fantastic teacher. Definitely want to come back to learn more!
Really enjoyed our experience on the wheel. We had a lovely and very helpful tutor for the session and it was a great way to take a bit of time to do something different and creative.
Such a fun couple of hours. The teacher was so helpful and paid attention to all of us.
Looking at going back with family
A lovely, wholesome day spent learning a completely new art form (and realising how easy they make it look on TV haha).
Christina was a brilliant host - really attentive and knowledgeable. Completely recommend, I’ll deffo be back for more! :)
Throughly enjoyed the pottery wheel throwing workshop - Naomi was a great tutor , patient and informative- pleased with what I was able to achieve in 2 hours despite being a complete novice !
We both loved this . The tuition was given with care and respect.
Thank you ,
Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend an afternoon. Jasmine was a great teacher, friendly and helpful throughout. The makers market with live music was a nice bonus. Looking forward to seeing the finished works when they've been fired and glazed. Thank you!
My partner and I had an amazing time at the pottery workshop, Jasmine was a great teacher who left us to independently work on our creations whilst being available if we needed help. Highly recommend this class, and we can't wait to collect what we made once it's ready!
Would recommend classes to anyone, even as complete beginners we felt we learnt so much from the class, Jasmine is lovely and super patient
Had a wonderful time at the pottery throwing class. Loved learning a new skill. Really enjoyed that there was unlimited clay to play with so felt very little pressure when it wasn't working. Was just a really lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great tuition. Amazed we actually managed to make something.
Mum and I really enjoyed this fun and friendly workshop. 2 hours was just the right amount of time to learn the basics and make a few nice things that were good enough to be glazed and fired!
Thoroughly enjoyed our pottery throwing workshop, Jasmine out tutor was super helpful and calm and made us feel at ease. Gained a lot out of the session and would definitely recommend.
This was a gift and it was excellent! It was really enjoyable. Finola was extremely helpful and patient with the group. Would love to do some more at some point.
Really enjoy the pottery throwing taster session so much that I will be booking a 4 wee beginners course in the spring hopefully May when these dates are released.
Thank you to Finola who was a great tutor.
We had a wonderful time at the pottery studio! The host and others in the studio were super friendly and relaxed. They were all offering help even though they weren’t teaching us!
Jazz was amazing. She explained everything so well and was extremely patient. She was super keen for us to all come away with an outcome which was so good to hear, and was adaptable to help us make some plates too!
The studio was lovely and bright, and we were even allowed to help ourselves to a cup of tea! X
Great day out yesterday. Jasmine was just fab and helped us when we needed it but also allowed us to fully engage in the experience. Would definitely recommend!
Got this as a gift for my girlfriend. We both loved the experience. Great host with a very friendly atmosphere and eased us in with an easy to follow demonstration and was also very attentive to individual's needs.
Fab 3h spent on the wheel. Lucy is a good host and teacher. Getting the pottery bug and will book more sessions with them in the near future!
Loved the session, enough time to get a really good feel for pottery throwing. Got more confident as time went on and ended up with a couple of pots worth firing. Lucy was great tutor and was on hand to guide when things went a bit wobbly! Remember to cut your nails before joining though!
Had an Amazing time, great tuition fun freindly and managed to produce some good pots... would go back again for sure
Great session and easy to find, accessible location. Small classes so more 1:1 time and enough time to throw a few pots so I can take sometime away to be proud of!
A fun session with a lovely tutor who explained everything clearly and helped us all the way through.
Great teacher, lovely space to work in.
Quality time on a wheel. First time doing it and really enjoyed Lucy's instruction, patience and guidance.
A lovely light and open studio space where you can work away at your own pace on the wheel with all the equipment, tools and clay you could need provided. Lucy is on hand to provide guidance and to help you develop your ideas into creations. The atmosphere at Fishponds Pottery is relaxed and friendly making it a really lovely place to spend a few hours making pots.
