Handmade Tea Bowls & Tasty Dumplings at Blow Water

Love pottery and dumplings? Then this is the perfect event for you!

Join James at Blow Water Cafe, Kings Heath, and discover the art of making your own ceramic tea bowls. You'll learn the ancient techniques of pinching and slab building, and shape the clay with your hands. It's a fun and relaxing way to express your creativity and connect with the clay.

You'll get to make two tea bowls, one pinched and one slab built, and choose from several glaze options. James will take care of the trimming, glazing, and firing, and you'll be able to collect your finished tea bowls from Blow Water Cafe in 4-6 weeks. They'll be durable and functional, and you'll be proud to use them or gift them to someone special.

After the pottery session, you'll also get to enjoy a mouthwatering serving of dumplings, freshly made at Blow Water Cafe. They're the perfect treat to reward your hard work and satisfy your appetite. You'll love the fusion of flavors and textures, and the cozy atmosphere of the cafe. It's a great way to mingle with other pottery and dumpling lovers, and share your experiences and impressions.

This event is ideal for anyone who wants to try something new and exciting, and have a blast doing it. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you'll find this event enriching and immersive. You'll not only create your own tea bowls, but also learn about the cultural roots of Japanese tea bowls, and how they're used in traditional tea ceremonies. You'll gain a deeper appreciation for this ancient and beautiful art form, and have a memorable experience for all the senses.

All materials, firing costs, and dumplings are included in the price of this event. The session will last for two hours, and refreshments will be available for purchase alongside your included portion of dumplings. Don't miss this opportunity to unleash your inner artist and indulge your taste buds.
