Stained Glass Workshop: Half Day Taster

Join Ruth for an immersive experience in the world of stained glass, where you'll have the opportunity to create your very own stained glass suncatcher which you can take home with you at the end of the day.

Prior to the workshop, Ruth will contact you to discuss any design ideas you may have to ensure a personalised and inspiring session. We also have plenty of patterns ready to go in our studio.

On arrival you'll be greeted by Ruth in her charming studio. She will guide you through the process, starting with the selection of your glass pieces. Once you've chosen your materials, Ruth will teach you how to cut the glass, making the process fun and accessible.

Next, you'll explore the copper foil technique, an essential skill in stained glass. Ruth's practical guidance will help you master this technique and prepare your pieces for final assembly. The experience continues as you learn to solder the pieces together, giving your creation a professional finish.

Ruth Summer (She/Her)

I am a glass artist (and lover of stone painting) who's been designing and creating bespoke contemporary stained glass commissions since 1998. I love to create glass pieces that are pulled in from the things around me that inspire me in life. I would love to help you create your own glass piece or stone paintings to take home with you at the end of our workshop together.
