Fancy some singing lessons tunefully tailored to you?

Your host Charlie is a vocalist, vocal coach and producer. She's taught and performed many genres including classical, pop, musical theatre and jazz and has performed at renowned venues and festivals such as Ronnie Scotts, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and St George's, Bristol. She has just returned from a mini tour of Melbourne, Australia and is currently working on the release of her new album.

Charlie's comfortable teaching all ages and abilities - she's a true believer everyone can find joy in singing! She specialises in teaching beginners and those with stories of restarting singing after a break. Charlie also teaches a lot of students who are at secondary school age, many of whom work towards Charlie's regular student concerts and Musical Theatre exams.

Your impressive host will welcome you into her home studio in Bedminster. Warm-up exercises will be followed by breathing exercises. This is all about laying the foundations for some beautiful singing! We sing with our whole body, so let's learn about embodying the sound we're creating. For the second half of the session, Charlie will invite you to sing a song (or section from one) of your choice. This will ideally be something you feel comfortable and confident with, so she can get to know your voice and give you feedback.

Charlie will take you through exercises that will help you to maintain a healthy voice, alongside understanding your voice and body as an instrument. Your host puts a lot of emphasis on singing and music for well-being. In this strange and turbulent time, let’s use music as a tool to help us feel better!

Join Charlie for a lesson in her lovely, cosy home studio - with a view to building a routine of regular lessons to really help you improve your voice and find a space for singing in your life.

Can't find a time that suits you? Don't worry. Book a slot and schedule it later - send me a message with your availability and I'm sure I'll be able to fit you in!
