As well as learning how to make silicon moulds I picked up so many other tips as well. Vicky is a great teacher, and the small group workshop means you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and get advice. We learnt how to make moulds for 3D and 2D objects, tried different types of silicon, and went through a design process for what we wanted to make. I've done the Jesmonite jewellery workshop previously too, and would definitely recommend both! Thanks Vicky.
The host was patient and really explained the process to me, I came away with the knowledge to begin making my own moulds with confidence.
An amazing lunch was also supplied which was very welcome!
Great experience would recommend
Parking is free on Bloy Street, but can limited, Devon Road which runs along the top usually has more space. The nearest station is Stapleton Road which is about 10 minutes walk away. We love bikes! If you arrive by bike we can store it securely for you.
If you would like to join us for lunch, please let me know if you have any dietary requirements in advance.

For Vicky, it’s all about the creative process - this is something she's really excited to share in her workshops. Vicky's got eight years of experience under her belt working with the eco-friendly stone composite jesmonite. This sustainable alternative to concrete or traditional resin allows Vicky to create beautifully coloured and patterned stones for her pieces. In workshops, she will share all the tips and tricks she's learnt to work with this exciting material successfully and creatively.
Vicky started out making things so young that she can’t remember wanting to do anything else. Growing up she studied fashion design and worked for boutique British accessory label Emmy London for many years. While there, she started making jewellery in her spare time, soon realising that expressing her creativity through design was all she wanted to do. Since striking out on her own she has built Promises Promises into a successful design studio selling her unique jewellery internationally.
Vicky started making jewellery at a difficult period in her life and is passionate about sharing her experience of the positive power of making something beautiful with your own hands. She has been working with jesmonite for six years. Vicky loves the potential of the material to experiment with and create something unique.
