In this workshop, Jo will guide you through the process of punch needling and line stitching a three-dimensional bumblebee onto canvas. This bee will be permanently affixed to a circular card with an integral hanging wire, ready to adorn your home!
Punch needling is an easy and addictive form of needlework. It involves using a hollow needle tool to punch wool into fabric mounted on an embroidery hoop to keep it tightly in place. The punch needle creates loops that are held through the material with the tension of the fabric, and the wool loops can then be trimmed to create a pleasing sculptural shape.

COVID-19 guidelines
All areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. If necessary, windows and doors can be opened to create airflow.
On the day
- Please arrive on time for your session.
- Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on.
- The workspace is on the ground floor, but the toilet is on the 1st floor.
- Two cats live here, but I will lock them away during the session.
- If sessions are before 5 pm, I can provide parking permits at no extra charge.
