Join us for a fun, festive and easy lino printing workshop, where you’ll discover the art of carving and printing your own designs, which you can then use to print your own, unique gift wrap and cards for the festive season!
Lino printing is a great way to express your creativity and make something unique. You can print your designs on anything you like, from tote bags and aprons to fabrics and notebooks. The possibilities are endless!
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of lino printing, such as how to use the tools, how to carve your block, and how to apply the ink. You’ll also get to experiment with different colours, layouts, and materials, and have plenty of support and guidance from your hosts, Tasha and Gemma, who are passionate about lino printing and creative play.
You’ll leave with a range of hand-printed items that you can take home and enjoy, as well as your own printing block that you can use again and again, and continue to print more wrapping paper and cards at home :)
This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to try something new and have fun. Whether you’re an artist or a beginner, you’ll find lino printing relaxing, rewarding, and fun. You can come with friends or by yourself, and meet other like-minded people who share your love of prints and patterns.
This workshop is brought to you by Creatopia Club, a community of creative enthusiasts who believe in the power of creative play to improve wellbeing and social connection. Hello! My name is Gemma... I am a crafty queen with a huge interest in fiber arts.
Curious for all things arty & crafty I found a love for macramé during lockdown. The mindful elements of this practice helped me power through some difficult times and so I began to host workshops to share the joy with others. I love holding space for groups of people and helping them get into their creative flow - so I'm super excited to come together with Tasha to bring more creativity in to the world!
I teach a variety of different mediums and am always so excited to see what people create :)
