Treat your Mum to something special this Mother's Day. In this interactive pottery workshop, you design, create and decorate a bespoke vase- totally unique to you. The perfect Sunday afternoon activity!
After a brief demonstration from your hosts, you'll be let loose to build your vase, using hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slip and scoring. After you've constructed the form, you are encouraged to use the remaining time to decorate your work using coloured slips, carving designs and adding funky textures. Use this time to really unleash your creativity and personalise your work.
What to expect:
You'll receive step by step guidance throughout to build your vessel. This session is suitable for beginners so no previous clay experience is needed! The bar will be open for you to purchase some evening drinks to spark inspiration while you sculpt.
Once completed, your work will be left with your hosts to be fired and glazed in a shiny top coat ready to adorn your shelves at home.
Final products will be ready to collected 4-5 weeks later.
