You have a camera, but do you know how to use it? Whether you have a DSLR, a mirrorless or a compact camera, this one-on-one workshop will teach you how to get the most out of it. You'll learn how to adjust the settings, compose the shot, and capture the perfect image.
Your workshop will start with a cosy chat over coffee and cake (included in the experience). You'll tell your instructor where you are in your photography journey and what you want to learn.
Then, you'll have a theory session on the basics of photography, such as composition, angles, shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance. Don't worry, your instructor will tailor the session to your needs and your equipment.
Next, you'll head to the streets of the Jewellery Quarter, a historic area of Birmingham. You'll put your new skills into practice, taking photos of the architecture, the people, and the atmosphere. Your instructor will give you feedback and tips along the way, helping you improve your technique and confidence.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a better understanding of your camera and how to use it in manual mode. You'll also have some stunning photos to show off to your friends and family. This workshop is ideal for beginners who want to learn the basics of photography in a fun and personalised way.
