EmailWelcome to Afternoon Watercolours! Every week we're upstairs in Room 2 at the Friends Meeting House painting all sorts of different things & always learning something new!
In this class I'll show you a step by step process of how to paint different themes each week. Each theme will come with learning different techniques, so every class is always a bit different and new.
Who's it for?
These classes are most suitable for beginners, but if you already have knowledge of painting you never know what new thing you might learn!
All materials are supplied.

On the day
Feel free to come a bit early if you want to make a coffee or tea in the kitchen before hand. I'll be setting up from 12:00 & we'll be starting on the dot every week at 12:30.

Hi I'm Zara! Here you'll find lots of different workshops I run every week. Most of my workshops are about watercolour - but sometimes we do other bits and bobs too. My classes are aimed at beginners and I try to create an environment where you can learn and have a relaxing time. These classes are very low pressure & I always encourage everyone to treat what they are doing as an experiment rather than a masterpiece.

YOUR TUTOR
Hi I'm Zara who's behind Ginger Green. I started teaching watercolours in March 2023 which is exciting because its been more than a year now! Multiple times week I run beginner watercolour classes based around nature.
My background is in illustration which I studied in Bristol from 2016 - 2019. I have previously worked in a bit of editorial illustration under the name 'Zara Wilkins'.
The thing I love most about watercolours is their versatility. There are so many different ways it can be used, so many effects that you can create with different levels of water, pigment, paper weights and brushes. There doesn't really seem to be an end to what you can do with it! Teaching continues to be such a fun experience and I really look forward to every class I run.
