The backdrop to this fantastic concert is the extraordinary Gaia installation hanging in the centre of Bristol Cathedral. The Bristol Ensemble will take you on an incredible journey of music inspired by nature, from the BBC series Blue Planet by George Fenton to the Four Seasons by four different composers Einaudi, Richter, Piazzolla and Vivaldi. Conducted by Roger Huckle, this promises to be a night to remember.
The programme includes:

absolutely fabulous
Beautiful music well played and in a lovely setting
An imaginative selection of music, very well played in an amazing space. With the earth rotating in the air above us. Sublime.
Very enjoyable evening
Lovely music, Beautiful setting.
I wish people could listen without chatting and cameras!
The most magnificent music for a perfect evening. Great atmosphere too.
Loved this performance of the Bristol Ensemble at Bristol Cathedral beneath Luke Jerram's Gaia. Atmospheric and moving.
Well organised , doors opened 1/2 hour before. Excellent acoustics wherever you sat
Lovely atmosphere. Great choice of music. Would have been enhanced by screening some of the Blue Planet footage in line with the George Fenton music but I appreciate that this would be a major undertaking.
Such a wonderful experience, the orchestra were so talented and seeing them play under the world was truly amazing.
Had a wonderful time at Bristol Ensemble's Blue Planet concert under Gaia. Breathtaking music, beautiful setting, and lovely helpful staff (especially the gentleman who assisted us moving seats when my mother had a small allergic reaction to someone's perfume). Took my family as a special treat and will remember this for a very long time. Thank you!
Uplifting, relaxing, beautiful and memorable. A wonderful evening in a beautiful venue.
Great combination of venue, art installation and music
Fantastic experience!
A fantastic evening at the Cathedral with the Bristol Ensemble under the amazing artwork of Gaia. The music was carefully chosen and very enjoyable. Thank you very much.
Please ensure you have your Yuup e-ticket ready to show on entry
This is a seated event. The seats are 485 mm wide, 553 mm deep and the seat is 456 mm from the floor. Some seats with arms are available.
There is level access to the event. Temporary toilets will be available outside of the Cathedral for this event.
We recommend using public transport - use buses to the City Centre/Park Street. The nearest car park is College Street.
Standing at the heart of Bristol's vibrant city centre, Bristol Cathedral is one of England's great medieval churches. For almost 900 years it has been a living place of sanctuary, teaching, prayer and music. Events at Bristol Cathedral range from family-friendly Crafty Cathedral sessions to gin tasting and guided tours in the Norman Chapter House, through to large-scale light shows.
