What to expect:
- This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, learning the basic techniques of dip pen calligraphy
- The workshop is broken down into simple, easy steps starting with a series of drills to get the core calligraphy elements down, before working through the alphabet and creating words
- Receive step-by-step demonstrations from Fran
- Get time to practice your technique and ask any questions
- Receive a kit to take home with you including the calligraphy pen, ink pot, guide sheets and paper. Continue your new skill at home!

On the day
- Please arrive on time for the workshop to start.
- This workshop is held at the Prior Shop in Cabot Circus (not the Old Market store). 23 Philadelphia Street, Quakers Friars, Bristol, BS1 3BZ
- There's plenty of parking in/around Cabot Circus and Bristol town centre
- You'll be using black ink. Your host will have optional aprons to wear, but you may want to wear something dark in colour or older
- Refreshments provided tea/coffee/soft drinks/biscuits

Hunter Gatherings is a wedding and craft party business based in a village between Bristol and Bath. It hosts fun craft workshops that teach guests new skills and gives them a chance to meet like-minded people.
Within Fran's stationery business, she uses a range of creative skills and loves to share those practices, so guests can get creative too. Fran specialises in everything from craft parties made for hen parties, to calligraphy art and designing wedding invites. If you're after elegant style with a modern soul, Hunter Gatherings should be your first port of call.
Fran Baxter-Hunter
Fran is passionate about all things wedding and crafts in all shapes and sizes. She's a lover of a chunky knit jumper and bold statement earrings.
Find Fran in the studio with a half-drunk cup of tea, piles of paper, watercolours and double-sided tape around her. If you don't catch her there, Fran's probably making the most of the cosy coffee shops and lush countryside around Bristol and Bath.
