EmailEnjoy a fun gin-making masterclass at The Distillery, Birmingham, home to the city’s very first gin! Situated a short walk from the vibrant restaurants of Brindley Place, this gin experience takes place in The Distillery’s stylish bar.
With the aid of miniature copper pot stills, you will be taken on a journey through the distilling process. Your host will teach you how to pick botanicals to create your very own gin. Using these botanicals, you will create a bespoke recipe that you will then bottle and label, ready to take home and share with your friends and family... or just keep it for yourself!
What to expect:
- Roundhouse gin and tonic on arrival
- Learn how gin is made and be guided through the distilling process.
- Hear about the history of gin.
- Make your own bespoke bottle of gin (35cl)
- Freshly baked sourdough pizza to soak up those lovely G&Ts

Booked it as a suprise birthday present and it did not disappoint. 21/2 hours rushed by. Evie was a knowledgeable great host Distiller. We made our own gin- flavoured with our chosen botanicals. Pizza was tasty too. A 5 * experience great value for money.

Really fun experience and great value for money, my partner and I were able to make a 350ml bottle of gin each and flavour it from a large selection of options. It tasted lovely! The hosts were really knowledgeable and welcoming.

Evie and Jack hosted a fabulous gin school. The perfect balance of history and fun facts, as well as having lots of fun creating our own and drinking excellent gins. The pizza was good too. We did have a small group and felt it was intimate enough. We have two bottles of delicious gin to enjoy at home and it is lovely to know more about The Distillery and their incredible copper sill. We will be paying their beer garden a visit very soon. Highly recommend!
