EmailFancy trying your hand at some silver jewellery making? Come and try this stacking ring workshop hosted out of Bex’s studio in Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff.
For this class you can have a go at making your very own set of stacking rings! Stacking rings are great fun to make and perfect to practice your skills as you get to make three rings.
Bex will take you through the process step by step and will be on hand to help you out along the way. You will learn new skills such as: sawing, texturing, soldering,filing, hammering and polishing.
There will be some examples for you to look at and choose what rings you want to include in your set. At the end you will have your very own handmade set of stacking rings to take home and show off!
The workshop is run from Bex’s studio in Chapter Arts Centre in Canton, Cardiff! The workshop is three hours which means we have lots to pack in. Lunch/dinner won’t be provided but some snacks and refreshments will be on hand. Bex will be in touch to enquire about any dietary requirements.
No prior experience is needed.

On the day
Sensible shoes and clothing should be worn. I.e no sandals or floaty long sleeved tops. Clothes should be worn that you don’t mind getting a bit dusty. Chapter Arts Centre has a car park but it can fill up, there is some on street parking but lots of it is residential permit parking. Gray Street Pay and Display car park is near by and costs £4.50 for four hours. Cardiff Central Train Station is a 35 minute walk away. Chapter is located just off Cowbridge Road where there are lots of buses.

Bex is a jewellery designer/maker based out of her studio in Canton, Cardiff, where she creates textural organic jewellery from silver, gold and gemstones. Working on one off pieces and small stock collections, her jewellery aesthetic features carefully selected gemstones, with playful colour gradients.
