Make a Pasta Bowl at Electric Bear Taproom

Join Pottymouth Workshop at one of Bath's best taprooms for an evening of craftin' and relaxin'.

In this immersive workshop, you will learn the art of pottery-making as they transform raw clay into beautiful, functional pasta bowls. Guided by expert potters instruction, you'll explore various hand-building techniques to shape and sculpt your bowls, creating unique designs and textures to suit your taste.

Whether your favour spaghetti over rigatoni or mix your fusilli and your penne you can make thel bowl of your pasta dreams.

What to expect:

  • Learn handbuilt pottery fundamentals
  • Explore a range of techninques.
  • All tools and materials provided
  • Collect your fired and glazed pieces 3-5 weeks later

After a brief demonstration from your experts, you'll be let loose to get a feel for the clay, practice your technique and finish off with some decorative techniques to define your design.

Your finished item will be left with your hosts who will fire and glaze your work. You will be contacted to collect your work from your host within 3-5 weeks.

Meredith Mason (She/Her)

Meredith is a ceramicist specialising in handbuilding, working in the techniques of coiling, pinch pots and slab building which she brings to a variety of workshops. Meredith aims to share her love of the clay world by guiding you through the process of handmade forms. Meredith will be on hand throughout each workshop to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.

Naomi Stokes (She/Her)

Naomi is an expert potter with three years teaching experience. Naomi mostly works on the potter's wheel, but has recently reignited her love for hand building. Her aim is to help people realise their ideas in clay. Naomi will be on hand during the whole experience to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
