Join your host in their Bristol studio for a day of leatherwork! You'll learn the art of leathercraft and make your own pair of bespoke leather sneakers. You'll have a choice of sneaker style and a wide range of responsibly-sourced Italian coloured leather to choose from.
This is a fun yet challenging day of learning new skills! The class size is limited to a maximum of 4 people to ensure you get plenty of one-to-one attention whilst making your custom sneakers.
You will learn how to use specialist leather tools and cut from a pattern, stitch, punch holes, and more to create your sneakers. You will then have the option to sew on additional details and fix metal eyelets on the lacing holes to make a truly custom pair of sneakers!
What to expect:
You will need to bring a packed lunch or else there are lots of fabulous cafes nearby for lunch!
This workshop requires a degree of strength in the hands and may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility or strength in their hands (cutting/sewing leather can be hard work!).

Leather Needle Thread is run by Esther. Esther likes to teach people of all abilities how to make bags, simple clogs and sneakers with beautiful materials and minimal tools. All workshops simplify leathercraft. How? By using key tools and refining techniques so people gain the basic skills to explore this craft further. The pieces you can make will all be functional at heart and modern in style.
