EmailGet to grips with jewellery making in this fun silversmithing workshop in Bedminster. Come along to this accessible, fun and empowering workshop to learn how to make a pair of simple hoop earrings in any size you like!
Hoops in this workshop are made in sterling silver, and this class is a great way to get started with jewellery making as you do not need any previous experience!
What you will do in this workshop:
- Choose a thickness and style of wire
- Cut and shape using jewellery tools
- Make a fastening for your hoops
- Learn how to solder, polish and finish your hoops
- Walk away with a brand-new pair of hoops to wear!

Your host can direct you to gold plating services if you prefer a gold colour, solid gold is quite expensive so if you would prefer to work in solid gold then please get in touch directly.

Bethany is the silversmith behind both Silver & Steel and her personal jewellery brand Bethany May Silver. Down to earth and welcoming Bethany loves sharing her passion for jewellery making with makers of all levels. Having learnt from Alice Goldsack, herself a student of the prominent Diana Porter, Bethany cares deeply about the silversmithing culture and community in Bristol. After years of creating her own work, Bethany developed engaging workshops for beginner jewellers and has taught people of all ages and abilities. Bethany is an experienced creative workshop teacher, educator and trainer who will ensure the experience is fun, memorable and participants leave feeling empowered.
