Youβll join Pottymouth Workshop, a team of professional ceramicists, who will show you the basics of hand building pottery using a pinching technique. Youβll get to shape, mould and decorate your own unique vase from clay, while enjoying the cosy and friendly atmosphere of a Grade II listed building in the historical heart of Bath, Boston Tea Party Alfred Street cafe.
Enjoy a complimentary glass of prosseco while you watch the demonstration after-which you'll access to a selection of drinks from the bar to purchase, to keep your creative juices flowing.
At the end of the workshop, youβll leave your vase with Pottymouth Workshop, who will fire and glaze it for you. Youβll be able to collect your cup from Boston Tea Party within 4-5 weeks.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to try something new, express their creativity and support a local business. You donβt need any prior experience with clay, as Pottymouth Workshop will guide you through every step.

After a brief demonstration from your experts, you'll be left to flex your new skills! Practise the fundamentals of slab building: rolling out clay, slip and scoring, and decorative techniques to finish off with your personal and unique design.
After your experience, you are welcome to enjoy a Β£4.50 pint from the 10 award-winning craft beer lines at the Electric Bears friendly atmosphere.
Your finished item will be left with your hosts who will fire and glaze your work. You will be contacted to collect your mugs from your host within 2-4 weeks.

Meredith is a ceramicist specialising in handbuilding, working in the techniques of coiling, pinch pots and slab building which she brings to a variety of workshops. Meredith aims to share her love of the clay world by guiding you through the process of handmade forms. Meredith will be on hand throughout each workshop to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
Naomi is an expert potter with three years teaching experience. Naomi mostly works on the potter's wheel, but has recently reignited her love for hand building. Her aim is to help people realise their ideas in clay. Naomi will be on hand during the whole experience to give advice, support and plenty of encouragement.
