This wholesome four-part course will take knitters through everything they need to know to knit their very own stylish sweater. This is the sustainable staple your winter wardrobe's been waiting for.
Bring along a pattern and yarn of your choice, or pick the perfect yarn from the No Frills Knitting Shop. If guests want help picking a pattern, they can get in touch with the host before the experience starts.
Over the course of the four workshops, you'll talk about the different ways sweaters are constructed, how to pick the right size for you, and what yarns work best for what kinds of projects. From then it's on to the knitting...
You'll be learning skills like ribbing, increasing and decreasing stitches, blocking your work, knitting in the round - and whatever else your pattern needs. There are two weeks between each session to give you time to work on your sweater between classes.
With a professional knitwear designer on hand to guide you through the process from casting to finishing your work, you'll have all the support and encouragement you need to knit a brilliant sweater that will see you through many winters to come.
For the autumn running, the dates are October 3rd and 17th, and November 14th and 28th.
For the January running, the dates are Jan 16th and 30th, and Feb 13th and 27th.
Please note: a minimum of 2 bookings are required for this workshop to run. If this number isn't reached the host will be in touch to discuss re-scheduling.

Great atmosphere and teaching
This is part of a 4 part course, really looking forward to next class. Jacki the host is very friendly and patient, great at explaining and guiding our progress. There are always lots of cups of tea and lots of chat!
The group is very friendly and helpful I have dyslexia so I find reading a pattern very challenging but the ladies are very patient and explain things very well.
Had a really lovely first session of the learn to knit a jumper course with Jacqui. Knitting my first jumper is rather intimidating thought, but I know that with Jacqui's help I will get there, and look forward to the next session already!
