This one day workshop is a full introduction to creating and printing your own lithograph. Get to grips with the basics of this practice.
Try out using a variety of drawing materials on a piece of transparent drafting film. Your host will show you how to prepare, expose (similar to exposing a screen) and develop your plate, how to mix inks, handle a spindle roller and print a small variable edition of your work. Photoplates are the least process-heavy within lithography, so its a great way to get started in the medium.
Photoplate lithography can pick up some incredible subtle details, which makes it a real catch! Jump at the chance to learn this new skill and get plenty of guidance from your encouraging host along the way.

I really enjoyed the day. I hadn't done lithographic printing before and it was great to try something new and go a way with a good result. Steph was great, a walking encyclopaedia of printmaking, and took us through the process with explanation, demonstration and practice.
`it's fair to say a bit of previous experience of other printmaking helped.
A fun and informative day.
Wonderful and inspiring learning experience. We packed so much into the day and learned so much about photoplate lithography and offset printing. Came home with a few prints too.
Just what I was looking for. Learnt a lot in the time about the process and lots of useful tips along the way. Friendly creative printmaking studio and very knowledgeable and experienced printmakers. Perfect day!
Steph was brilliant and the day flew by - aside from the course information, she had lots of invaluable knowledge on printmaking techniques, resources, suppliers and much more. Already looking forward to returning! Highly recommend.
