Fuzzy Heads: Create a Unique Felt Hat or Hood

Join Tasha for a tactile & therapeutic, creative workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own felted animal (or whatever else takes your fancy!) hat or hood using soft and luxurious Merino wool.

  • Learn the art of felt-making, you will use the 'wet felting' technique to create your hat or hood, and 'needle felting' techniques to add features and details.

  • Step-by-step guidance from Tasha, with no experience needed.

  • Create a unique, adorable accessory that you can wear with pride or gift to a loved one.

  • Choose from a wide range of colours from Tasha's selection of soft, merino wool.

  • Enjoy a sensory and relaxing experience - wool is an incredibly therapeutic material to work with!

You’ll leave the workshop with your new, unique creation, as well as a needle felting kit to continue your felting journey at home and add any finishing touches. You’ll have a lot of fun and laughter along the way, as you connect with your playful side and learn new skills.

About your host

Tasha fell in love with felt-making when she was studying textiles and going through a particularly difficult time. She found the process of working with wool incredibly soothing and mindful and was amazed at the endless possibilities of what could be created! As a lover of all things playful, she began to experiment with making hats inspired by different creatures, and so the Fuzzy Heads were born! Since starting to host Fuzzy Heads workshops, she has loved to see the different creations that her students have invented ... what will your Fuzzy Head look like?

The workshop takes place at Unit 8 Studios, a hidden gem in St Werburghs, where you can peek inside one of Bristol’s creative hubs. Tea, coffee and cakes are provided, and you can also bring your own drinks and snacks if you like. There will be a short break half-way through.

If you’re looking for a fun and unique activity for your group, you can also book this workshop as a private experience at a venue of your choice - just get in touch with Tasha.
