Ed is a knowledgeable, friendly expert and this was a fun activity for all the family away from screens!
Lovely experience, Ed was such a good host, informative and brilliant with kids. Very enjoyable
Ed was an excellent host, and hosted a fun filled experience. He was knew exactly where to take us, what to show us, and was knowledgeable about what we found! I would thoroughly recommend Ed and this experience to any budding fossil hunters!
Great fossil hunt led by Ed. Without his expertise we wouldn’t have had a clue what we were looking at and would have been far less successful. Thanks Ed
This was brilliant. We learnt about what the labd looked like at the time of the dinosaurs and then found loads of fossils that we were able to take home. I'd highly recommend.
Excellent experience and host Ed made it very interesting for both younger ones and adults alike. Ed was really knowledgable and helpful . Would definately recommend to others and will be looking out for similar experiences with Ed.
Enjoyed the morning a lot, learnt a lot. Thanks, Ed
We really enjoyed the experience and the children were engaged throughout the entire time. Ed was very informative and was very good with the children in the group.
I highly recommend this experience.
This experience was for my son’s 8th birthday and I am so delighted to say we all loved this fantastic insight into fossil hunting. Ed is such an amazing educator. He is very knowledgeable, patient with young minds and truly inclusive. We highly recommend this
fabulous experience to anyone.
Ed was a fab guide to fossil hunting, having just the right manner with kids ranging from 4ish to about 10 and adults too. He gave us some background on the area, with pictures and toys as props then we enjoyed a walk and fossick across the stony beach with lots of fossilised shells and other bits.
Ed was very informative and made this an excellent experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed it
Ed was brilliant. He pitched the fossil chat at a perfect level for kids and adults. His explanation and advice on finding the fossils in limestone rock, as well as explaining what fossils were in the rocks, was amazing.
We’ve been inspired to go fossil hunting at other sites now we know what we are looking for.
Thank you Ed for a brilliant afternoon.
An enjoyable way to spend 2 hours outside. It was amazing to find real-life history at your finger tips. Ed was really easy to talk to and explain what we were finding without making it too technical (for me! ) Well worth the money and it means that you can visit the foreshore again and know what you are looking at next time
Ed's got a passion for wildlife. He enjoys taking people out to see and experience it. Ed offers training courses on identifying birds and their songs. He has been studying urban peregrine falcons for the past 20 years and is the author of Urban Peregrines. He's got an educational background so is always on a quest to learn new things.
