You’re probably here because you either love drawing or you love dogs, and if that’s the case, then this might just be the perfect event for you.
Welcome to Dog Life Drawing classes with artist Cai Burton at KitForm, Jamaica Street Studios.
Join this art class with a difference and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats. Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes - expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.
Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.
Cai will guide you through the session, introducing you to the class with structured warm ups and moving you around the space. Despite this, classes are still relaxed with the opportunity to move around as you see fit.
Drinks will be available from the bar and chilled music will help set the tone.

It was such a wholesome, fun way to spend an evening - we had plenty of time to draw all five dogs, and Cai guided us with suggestions for exercises to warm up e.g. spending 3 mins drawing a dog, then 2 mins, then 1 min, have a go at drawing with your non-dominant hand etc. All the dogs were very good boys/girls and their various personalities and movement added to the experience and the challenge. Would recommend for a date night or with a friend!
Opportunity to draw 4 dogs over 2 hours. Basic materials provided (paper and pencil), but lots of notice given re bringing your own if after something more extravagant. Relaxed, welcoming environment. Suitable for both beginners and those further on.
So joyful and relaxing! A really welcoming environment. Would highly recommend :)
great format, excellent balance for beginners and people that have experience. started with some warm up exercises which helped get everything going. refreshment selection fairly limited but all great quality.
It was a great experience! I really enjoyed connecting with others and stepping out of my comfort zone through drawing.
Really enjoyed this session, especially the bulldog - such a great model!
A lovely Sunday afternoon activity! A well-executed event with many cute dogs to draw. The host provided lots of information on the pups and timed sketching challenges. It ticks all the boxes :-)
The event was well organised and well run. There were multiple friendly dogs to draw and the session felt just the right length.
I loved the warm-up exercises! It would be nice to have more of them even.
Really enjoyed my first session and will be booking again!
An excellent, relaxing afternoon in the company of nice canines and humans. Drawing dogs is out of my art comfort zone but it was interesting to try, and I would do it again.
A colleague booked this for a work social. i would thoroughly recommend giving it a go.
Brilliant fun!
lovely space, lovely dogs, welcoming and helpful host
I've been suffering from anxiety for about 2 months now and I couldn't find anything that would help me relax.
The two hours went by in what felt like 20 minutes. I've never felt so calm, all my worries just left my brain. Would recommend to anyone
