Join local songwriters Kali and Josh for a fun, relaxed workshop where you'll explore the craft of lyric writing in a welcoming and collaborative space.

Whether you're just starting out or already writing songs, this experience will introduce you to creative techniques that spark new ideas and help you think differently about lyrics. You’ll try out methods like object writing, morning pages, stream of consciousness, and cut-up techniques, all designed to unlock your creativity and get words flowing.

This isn’t about writing the perfect song. It’s about playing with language, sharing ideas, and discovering your unique voice. No musical experience required, bring yourself and an open mind.

You’ll leave feeling inspired, with new tools to fuel your writing.

On the day

Please arrive for a 3pm start at PRIOR’s studio, located at 136 Church Road, Redfield, Bristol, BS5 9HH, opposite The Crafty Egg and The Bristol Loaf. The studio is accessed through the PRIOR shop's front entrance.

The studio is wheelchair accessible, however the toilet and kitchen area are up some steps. There is an accessible toilet in The Crafty Egg (opposite).

The studio is easily reached by train (Lawrence Hill station), bus, and there is free parking for cars on nearby streets.

Can't make it? We understand things happen! You can cancel and get a full refund up to 2 days before your experience.
