Have a great day out on a bike exploring the Bristol to Bath Railway Path with this self-guided cycling experience. Bike hire is provided including everything you’ll need to enjoy a day on the bike! Enjoy the ride more by stopping for a coffee and cake at one of the cafes along the route.
Helmet, lock, lights and tools will be included with your bike and the Railway Path is a beautiful way to cycle in a safe, traffic-free environment which is excellent for children too!
A guide will help you find the start of the path, which is close to the hire location in Redfield, Bristol. You can take a map and will be sent a digital map of the route, with suggested rest stops and cafes.
Once you join the path, you can either head into Bristol City Centre and explore the harbourside and many attractions the city has to offer or have a real adventure and cycle all the way to Bath! One of the Bike Bristol team is happy to cycle with you to the start of the route to help you on your way.
The ride to Bath is 14 miles from the suggested start point and will take between 1.5 and 2 hours depending on your speed and how many times you stop for coffee!
If you’d like to spend a few hours exploring Bath, you should allow 8 hours for this experience.
