Learn how to make your own unique pieces of beautiful, eco-friendly jesmonite stone jewellery. Join Vicky of Promises Promises at indie champion Prior Shop, where she will share tips and tricks that she has learnt from 8 years working with jesmonite. You’ll come away with a new skill and 4 pieces of colourful jewellery.
You will enjoy tea or proper coffee and homemade biscuits as Vicky demonstrates different processes to help fire up your creative juices and get the best out of the materials before you get into designing.
Choose to make stud earrings, earring charms or necklaces, in 8 different shapes. As for colour and pattern - the sky is the limit! Once you are happy with the designs you’d like to make, your host will be on hand every step of the way as you cast your 4 pieces of jewellery.
The final step of the process needs to happen at least 24 hours later to allow the stone composite to set so you will practice on some older pieces before receiving your designs in the post with all the equipment you need, ready to finish these at home.

It was a gift for me and my daughters. We had a lovely time. I was a bit worried about the design phase, but Vicky gave us plenty of ideas and we could really take our time sketching out and asking questions about what might work etc. I am looking forward to receiving the finished items in the post.
I had a great time being creative with a load of strangers. Vicky was a brilliant teacher and we all left with an appreciation for what she does! Looking forward to receiving our final pieces as they needed to be set before we could finish, but with clear instruction I feel confident to finish them at home. Great value for money, as we get 4 pairs of earrings! Lovely location above Prior Shop too.
My friends and I really enjoyed this workshop. The technique was fairly easy to pick up and the teacher was great at explaining and helping. It was great value for money as we each made multiple pieces of jewelry!
Really fun morning, all very well organised. Thank you
Really lovely time.
It was really fun, I loved learning how to use jesmonite and designing and creating my pieces. I can't wait to wear them.
I really enjoyed this. Was great to be creative but also get some guidance with design and colours. Vicky was an excellent host, explained things well and i would definitely recommend this.
Really interesting - great teacher and a fun morning!
I had a great time making jewelry with Vicky. She gave great instructions and feedback. I will definitely recommend it to friends!
Really enjoyed the workshop! Will definitely come again.
I really enjoyed the jewellery workshop. Vicky was a great teacher. She explained how to use jesmonite with clear instructions. Prior Shop is a great venue for a workshop too!
Loved the whole experience, the host was amazing, such a great teacher, very happy with the whole experience and can’t wait to receive my earrings and necklace pendants.
Learnt a new creative skill in a relaxed environment. Second stage of workshop has to be completed at home as pieces have to set. Therefore cant comment on finished results. Although I am hopeful that they will be sparkly and stunning!
Jesmonite casting can be messy and the dye does not come out of clothes so wear something old or bring an apron.
Vicky started out making things so young that she can’t remember wanting to do anything else. Growing up she studied fashion design and worked for boutique British accessory label Emmy London for many years. While there, she started making jewellery in her spare time, soon realising that expressing her creativity through design was all she wanted to do. Since striking out on her own she has built Promises Promises into a successful design studio selling her unique jewellery internationally.
Vicky started making jewellery at a difficult period in her life and is passionate about sharing her experience of the positive power of making something beautiful with your own hands. She has been working with jesmonite for six years. Vicky loves the potential of the material to experiment with and create something unique.
