Join Louise, a local artist and printmaker, in her cosy park-side studio for a laid-back botanical printing workshop. You’ll learn how to use seasonal leaves and flowers to create stunning prints on paper, using simple and effective block printing techniques. You’ll also discover how to add depth and colour to your prints with tissue papers, creating a layered and textured effect.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own botanical art to take home and display, or to give as a unique gift to someone special. This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike, and all materials are provided.
It’s a great way to connect with nature, unleash your creativity and enjoy a lovely afternoon with like-minded people.

A great creative space that offers a lot of fun, inspiration and positive emotions. If you doubt your artistic side with this printing technique, you can discover the artist in you. The friendly atmosphere Lu creates will make you feel really welcome and ready to discover the world of printing if it's your first time, or confident to explore it further if you decide to give it another go. She will help you learn and encourage you to experiment. Excellent experience, 2 hours felt like 2 minutes.
Lu was very welcoming and encouraging. She was keen to get us going as soon as she had explained the technique, and gave us free rein to be creative, but with her support always there. Simply fantastic!!
Please arrive a few minutes early to drop your bag and coat, wear clothes to print in, and bring an apron. The studio is on a residential street without dedicated parking but it is a few minutes walk from Gloucester Rd buses. You don’t need to bring any leaves etc, but feel free to raid your garden or hedgerow.
Hi! I’m Lu, a print maker, artist and creative adventurer offering relaxed, creative print, workshops in my studio converted from an old MOT garage by the common.
