Greek Mezze Cooking Workshop

Mezze is a style of dining in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, that resembles a collection of Spanish tapas and other tasty small plates. Serving hot, cold, veggie and meat dishes, mezze often makes up an entire meal.

A truly social event, mezze dishes are brought out one by one, which encourages chatting, laughing and socialising.

Please note, due to seasonal ingredients and produce availability, the dishes are decided by your host close to the day. Examples from past workshops have included:

  • Tirokas teri - traditional greek spicy feta dip
  • Skordalia - greek potato and garlic spread
  • Stuffed vine leaves
  • Greek meat ball (keftives)
  • Greek cheese pies, like small samosas with cheese inside made with puff pastry - Tirotitakreia

To make sure their kitchen is Covid safe, Cooking It are ensuring:

  • All touch points are cleaned before and during experiences
  • Gloves are provided for anyone who wishes to wear them
  • Individuals can work on their own when attending on their own
  • Measuring of all ingredients in advance to prevent shared handling
  • All equipment is per individual guest or per pair to prevent shared handling
  • Marking out of work areas for clarity on social distancing

On the day

  • This workshop is for all ages, but under 16s must be booked with a paying adult. – Everyone in the kitchen, including children, must have their own ticket for the workshop.

Can't make it? We understand things happen! You can cancel and get a full refund up to 30 days before your experience.

Paul Mannering

Paul started his work in kitchens washing dishes as a 15 year old, and soon grew to love the hustle and bustle of this industry. He’s now worked as a professional chef for 24 years in kitchens all over the UK, as well as the U.A.E and Netherlands. As well as sharing his love for food at Cooking It, Mark also works at the National Chef Academy as Vice Principal, combining his passion for food and teaching with enthusiastic apprentice chefs. As a chef he’s willing to try anything and is always on the lookout for unique flavour combinations.
