Learn to Cook Chinese Classics From Scratch

Love Chinese takeaway but wish you could make it yourself? Join for an interactive cookery class where you'll learn to create your own delicious and healthy Chinese dishes from scratch.

You'll start by making everyone's favourite — egg rolls! You'll get to mix your own pork-and-prawn filling, wrap them like a pro and pan-fry them to golden perfection. Then, you'll whip up two comforting soups: egg drop and wonton. You'll also learn the secrets to savoury sesame noodles and master main courses like crispy Kung Pao and General Tso's chicken. And of course, you'll learn to make hearty stir-fries such as beef with broccoli and Moo Shu Pork. Plus, you'll discover how to create lighter dishes, from Mapo Tofu to Egg Foo Young, and how to cook perfect rice every time.

This is a BYO class, so feel free to bring a bottle or two to enjoy while you cook. The hosts can cater for different diets on request, but some cuisines may be tricky to adapt. If in doubt, just ask. Please let us know of any dietary requirements before you come, so we can prepare accordingly.

Over 14s are welcome with a full-paying adult (they must have their own ticket). Please bring your own containers to take the food away with you. We're trying to reduce waste as much as possible, and we're sure you have some tupperwares at home. And don't forget to bring your own apron. All timings for the classes include dining.
