This once a month Saturday baking workshop is perfect for children looking to get creative in the kitchen, learn more about baking and have fun.
In each experience they’ll bake a variety of treats from classics like cookies and cupcakes to more unusual recipes like sticky toffee pudding, crème caramel, Eton mess, tarte tatin and chocolate fondants. Every month will feature different recipes and during some workshops there will also be the chance to decorate cakes using piping techniques that they can recreate at home.
This popular experience is ideal for children from 8-14 years old, but Cooking It can offer spaces for younger children if they are already baking at home and are keen to do more.

Monica is the founder of Cooking It. She was born in Barcelona but has called Bristol home for almost 30 years. Monica grew up around food and could regularly be found in the kitchen of her grandparents’ restaurant, soaking up all the flavours and recipes - so much so she still loves making the tapas recipes she learnt as a child. She returns to Barcelona often to carry on discovering new recipes in her family’s restaurants and patisseries. When Monica isn’t sharing her cooking know-how, you’ll find her enjoying wine with friends and feeding people - often her four daughters and their friends.
Ruth has been teaching cooking for 20 years in a Bristol's secondary. She has taught 100's of young people from Bristol.
