This candle-lit tour of an old coffin works gives you a chance to explore the museum after hours. The Coffin Works preserves the contents of the former Newman Brothers’ manufactory, which opened in 1894 and finally closed its doors in 1998.

In its time, the Coffin Works was a Victorian Jewellery Quarter factory and produced some of the world’s finest coffin furniture, including those for many royals. Now a museum, the workbenches are still full of all the original stock and tools of the trade, and with some of the original machinery working again, you can truly experience the sights, sounds and stories of this hidden gem.
Coffin Works host award-winning guided tours as well as various events such as silent movie nights, after-hours tours, craft markets, theatre shows and so much more.
