Buskers' Banquet x Brin Pirathapan

Buskers’ Banquet combines the best the independent food and performing art scenes to create an amazing festival celebrating delicious flavours and incredible music.

What to expect:

  • A bespoke five-course meal crafted by Masterchef UK Winner 2024, Brin Pirathapan. One course will be paired with a complimentary bottle of Showerings Cider.
  • A chance for the audience to enjoy live acoustic performances by Bristol-based musicians, Joely June & Henry Ayling.

The Menu:

  • Fresh bread (allergens - gluten, GF bread available if requested)

  • Black truffle, mushroom and parmesan crispy pomme terrine (allergens - lactose)

  • Scallop ceviche, pickled Jalapeno and Avocado and tigermilk crema split with coriander oil (allergens - shellfish)

  • Sambal Crusted Rack of Lamb with jaffna aubergine puree, curried pomme fondant, coriander and mint emulsion (allergens - egg, lactose, mustard)

  • Char Siu Pork, anise carrots, baby leeks, pickled apples, served with a complimentary bottle of Showerings Cider (allergens - lactose, soybean)

  • White chocolate and cardamom cremeux, pistachio granola, poached figs (allergens - lactose, eggs, nuts)

This menu cannot cater to the following allergies: shellfish, eggs, milk, mustard, nuts, soybean

The Chef: Brin Pirathapan

  • Brin Pirathapan leapt into the culinary world when he became the MasterChef Champion 2024. After starting his career as a veterinary surgeon, Brin decided to see where his passion for food could take him and subsequently rose to lift the coveted MasterChef trophy. Brin hasn’t looked back since - along with supper clubs and private dining, he’s been creating a huge array of online content to bring his recipes to the nation and is working on some very exciting projects for the future.

The Music:

  • Joely June - belonging in the modern folk world, breathing fresh air into the genre. Her passion lies at the core of honest and meaningful songwriting, telling a powerful story with each song. With her soul purpose being connecting with people through her music, you can be sure there's no song without substance or sincerity in the world of Joely June.

  • Henry Ayling - a Bristol-based singer-songwriter, who plays finger-style acoustic guitar. Playing and singing his own songs as well as including the occasional cover and traditional ballad, Henry is known for his masterful fingerpicking, his soulful voice, and his original folky style.

Buskers' Banquet

When you attend a Buskers’ Banquet event, you can expect an intimate and special evening during which you can converse with others, enjoy a delicious three-course meal delivered by a talented chef, before listening to two incredible musical acts each performing a 30 minute acoustic set.

Whilst each Buskers’ Banquet event differs slightly in terms of structure, each event will contain an introduction from the chef who will provide some background about themselves and food, a three-course meal, the first musical act and the second musical act. The chefs, musicians and ourselves will also be mingling and chatting to you all throughout the evening.

We endeavour to seat everybody in a banquet-style and so please don’t be afraid to come on your own – by having ‘banquet-style’ seating you can be guaranteed an evening full of conversation with others.
