Really great tour, funny tour guide and genuinely interesting things you won’t find on Google!
I took my Dad for a Father's Day present and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. So good to walk around Bristol and be able to learn new things and also reminisce. The host was brilliant - so knowledgeable and approachable.
It was a really good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I’ve come away from it knowing far more about Bristol’s rich musical history and a few facts to entertain my friends with on a night out. My partner and I were younger than most others there, but we were made to feel very welcome and included.
John was a great host - very easy to engage with and he had many of the same interests as ourselves. Very informative and for me, a great trip down memory lane.
Excellent host, extremely knowledgeable and easy going with a good sense of humour.
As a resident of Bristol I didn’t think I would learn anything new….. interesting and knowledgeable Host and a great afternoon
Great way to spend Sunday afternoon
Interesting and informative. John was a great tour guide

John was very informed, enthusiastic and did a really good tour. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Bristol's musical history.
John was a brilliant guide, knowledgeable and informative but approachable and friendly too. We both thoroughly enjoyed the session and will quite happily do it again. Many thanks.
Great stuff - highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. John was a super knowledgable host with great tales of the Bristol music scene. Bought as a Father’s Day present but was enjoyed by all. Will be booking onto the haunted and hidden Bristol walking tour too. Thanks John!
John was an amazingly knowledgeable guide who was equipped with anecdotes as well as amazing photos of places how they used to be - just fascinating. It was easy to visualise how these places must have looked in their heyday and the atmospheres the created. Very grateful to John and to my daughter for gifting me the experience!
Really knowledgeable and friendly host. This is our third time on one of his walks
John is a great host with expert knowledge and a great sense of humour and makes all guests feel welcome. A great experience with our friends!
Really enjoyed the tour and found it really interesting and enlightening about Bristol! Would recommend it to friends.
Brilliant and informative tour, with a friendly tour guide. We were allowed to take our 2 dogs on the walk, the guide was so lovely to them, gave them lots of fuss and even dog biscuits! I would recommend this tour and tour guide, both were great.
Great experience - would highly recommend John! Very informative. Thank you very much :)
Really great tour with a really well informed and considerate host/ guide. It was a real pleasure being there.
This tour was a Christmas Present and although it was cold January Sunday, it was a fun and very interesting tour. From which I found lots of interesting information and I’ve lived in and around Bristol all my Life.
This was great. John was brilliant and we found out so much about the city we’ve lived in for years!
I bought this for my parents as a gift and would definitely recommend to others.
A really great afternoon - very entertaining and informative.
Really enjoyed the tour
Excellent and knowledgeable host, very personable.
My father and I thoroughly enjoyed John’s walk and talk. The host’s impressive knowledge and experience in the Bristol music scene, both past and present made this a really enjoyable and fascinating couple of hours.. lovely guy too!
For music and history lovers this is a must; I cannot recommend enough.
Thanks John!
Had an absolutely great time. Bit of a different treat for my husband 80th Birthday celebrations. John, our host, was excellent, full of interesting facts, covering both early music as well as recent. His generosity, humour and obvious love for the subject and his city is clear to see. Would recommend and go again.... more please!!
As usual John gave an interesting walk with his fun humour we all enjoy
John is a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining guide. Learnt so much about the music and music locations around Bristol, that have now sadly gone. Really recommend this tour to locals and visitors.
Really good tour. Compliments the haunted tour we did previously. Same host = good tour by John
