This workshop is perfect for home coffee enthusiasts or those starting out in the coffee industry, offering a deep-dive into the fundamentals of espresso. You’ll learn how to dial in and adjust espresso recipes to achieve balance and consistency, and how to work with different grind sizes, brew ratios, and extraction times to fine-tune your espresso. We’ll guide you through creating perfectly textured milk for a range of milk-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites, ensuring you can achieve that creamy, silky texture. Additionally, you'll practice pouring some basic latte art patterns, giving your drinks that professional touch.
We’ll also discuss how we serve espresso in our cafés, what key qualities we look for in a great shot, and how you can manipulate extraction to achieve your preferred flavor profile—whether you prefer bright and fruity, or rich and bold.
Each bespoke session is designed for small groups of 2-4 participants and lasts 90 minutes to 2 hours, allowing for personalised attention and hands-on practice. Please note that each participant must purchase a ticket to attend. Workshops will be held at our roastery, conveniently located behind Sneinton Market.

Our focus is on sourcing traceable, high-quality coffee from individual farmers and washing stations, with an emphasis on flavour over price. From farm to cup, we are committed to preserving the distinct flavours and characteristics of each region, steering away from the uniform, dark-roasted profiles common in many high street brands.
