This October, Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein has heightened the intensity of its notorious horror event, ‘After Dark - nights to die for’. In this psychologically disturbing, multi-sensory experience, visitors will be immersed in disorientating darkness, isolation and confinement, and encounter new special effects, mazes, crawl spaces, and live actors throughout.

‘After Dark’ invites visitors to;
• Venture inside a 300-year-old house and negotiate unnerving rooms in total darkness.
• Avoid capture by “The Cleansers” while navigating their way through the building, and risk separation from their party – then plot a course through disorientating labyrinths and confined spaces to be reunited with their friends.
• Enter the mysterious Laboratory Apothecary brimming with curious elixirs for “deadly shots” of courage.
• Brave the sinister underbelly of the House in the extreme basement walkthrough experience.
After Dark is an intense dark horror experience and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 15 years or the faint hearted.
After Dark is spread over 4 split-level floors. Movement between the floors is via multiple low-rise stairwells. The event features a low level crawl space area which measures 80cm/2ft 6" in height, 109cm/3ft 5" in width and 243cm/8ft in length.

The most frightening thing in my life. Scared me to death but was super fun and would highly recommend. Not for the faint hearted, dark and flashing lights with screams and wicked actors! Could of been a little bit longer of an experience but fantastic idea. Super Super Scary!

Genuinely one of the best experiences we've had. All the actors were amazing and the set up and creativity of the venue was outstanding. Will definitely be back again next year.
Special shout out to the lady working the bar, great drinks and lovely conversation in between the main attraction and the basement!

Amazing experience. The walk through experience was truly terrifying and not for the faint hearted but the perfect Halloween night. The actors were fantastic and never broke character. The basement was even more terrifying. Can’t wait to go again next year and bring all my friends.

Really fun Halloween entertainment with amazing actors. Biggest downside is that the actors were so good at scaring you, and were with you so much, we were more focused on moving through the house and getting away than reading the information in the rooms or properly looking around. A bit quick but a lot of fun.

The thing that stood out for me the most was the staff. Everyone was so pleasant and chatty. The actors were amazing and the attention to detail was incredible!It was also very informative. I really enjoyed learning about Mary Shelly. The man dressed up as the butcher was particularly good!All in all, a great night!!

On the day
After Dark is an intense dark horror experience and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 15 years or the faint hearted. Anyone ages 15-17 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older.
This event is not suitable to expectant mothers or anyone with a heart condition, claustrophobia or epilepsy due to the fact that the vent contains dark and sometimes confined spaces, jump scares and special effects which includes strobe lighting.
Tickets do not include the Escape Room.

Bursting with unusual artefacts, emotive soundtracks, bespoke smells and effects it also features rooms dedicated to popular culture, an intimate screening room showing the first ever Frankenstein film from 1910, a jaw dropping 8ft animated Creature, two themed Escape Rooms and, for the braver visitor, a creepy walkthrough experience in the basement.
