All workshops run from 2pm - 5pm
After such a beautiful first series last autumn, we’re here to share even more knowledge that we’ve found over years!
For these creative foraging sessions, we'll delve even deeper into our immediate environment, exploring our inner-city green spaces and find new ways to connect with wild medicine, food and craft.
Each session will include a guided foraging walk and an introduction to a range of craft and wild medicine making skills that you can build on throughout the year, leaving each session with knowledge to share with others.
Come with us, we’ll show you how to: Practice reciprocal and sustainable foraging, blend wild medicinal tinctures, glycerites, oxymels, syrups, balms, and infused oils and vinegars, make cordage, weave baskets, make your own paper, collect and spread seeds, carve your own rubber stamps for labels, find and identify mushrooms and plants with confidence, sketch and journal – all as ways to embed knowledge and learn new ways of caring for our communities!

We’ve made these workshops as affordable as we can. When choosing tickets, please have a think about what you can realistically pay, so we can keep creating these workshops and spaces.
Let us know if you have any questions or requirements, and get in touch if price is a barrier. We have a few partial bursaries available, and will prioritise BPOC, people living with disabilities and/or from working class or low socio-economic backgrounds for these places.

Maria is very welcoming and knowledgeable. The whole event was well planned and inclusive. We learned loads! Given me confidence to try more herbal vinegars. Really fun afternoon
Maria is a Bristol-based forager and herbalist who started Healing Weeds to create a fun, human and relatable way to access foraging, no matter your experience.
Maria absolutely loves sharing this easy-to-learn knowledge through foraging walks, workshops and courses in Bristol where she shows people how to confidently identify and use some of the most common (and often most healing) plants in their local area.
- Ruby (they/them) is an artist, a forager, a mycological and botanical illustrator, printmaker and craftsperson who will facilitate the creative elements within these workshops
